Reading and annotating these three short stories was harder that reading and annotating all of the other ones we have done. It took forever for me to choose a story that I liked, then it took double the amount of time to read and annotate. I was trying to do my best and get a lot out of it because as Dr. D said it will benefit you.
After R&A (reading and annotating) "An Occurrence at Owl Check Bridge," "A Worn Path," and How the Leopard Got His Spots," I realized that it is different, really different. I know that each story has its own theme, different characters, and all of that, but when reading them back to back, its so weird to switch stories.
As for things I have noticed, I do not quite know. Yes, I know about the story, characters, events, and everything, but as for the literary analysis I do not know what I am supposed to be looking for. I feel as though tomorrow when we talk about it during class, I will get a better understanding.
I know how you feel, it does seem harder. I should annotate another one one the website she had out for us
